FAQs Regarding Printed Books
Do I need a license to use interRAI Assessment Forms and Manuals? Is it the same as a License to Print?
Please note that use of our instruments (forms) is permitted only by written license with interRAI; the purchase of a User's manual or a "license to print" form does not provide a "use license." For information on licensing, contact info@interRAI.org or call +1-734-936-3261.
How long will it take for my order to ship?
If you need your items quickly, please see below section on Shipping Costs for important information. Our books are printed as each order comes in, and it generally takes 3-5 business days for orders to be processed and printed and then additional time for shipping. Please allow additional processing time for orders paid for by check or purchase order. Delivery dates also depend on shipping method and ship-to location.
Can I cancel my order?
Cancellations are possible only on the same day an order is placed, and provided it is Monday–Friday, and we receive the cancellation by phone before 3 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Because of the immediacy of placing and fulfilling orders, we can offer only this small window for cancellations. We cannot accommodate cancellation requests after 3 p.m. or for orders placed on previous days, or on weekends. From the United States, please call toll-free 866-595-5055. Can I return a shipment?
Sorry, but all books and publications are sold on a nonreturnable basis.
Does interRAI offer volume discounts?
Is the interRAI catalog site secure?
Yes! We have installed a secure certificate to protect your data. You’ll notice the “https://” in your browser address bar when you enter your shopping cart to ensure that your identity is protected.
Do you offer international shipping?
Yes. We ship internationally via USPS, with several shipping choices available to you at checkout. In addition to the shipping costs provided at checkout, international orders may be subject to import taxes, customs duties and fees charged by the destination country. Customs clearance charges may also be incurred, which you will be responsible for. By placing an order with interRAI, you acknowledge that this could occur and customer agrees to pay any such international fees in a timely fashion. Customs policies vary from country to country and may delay the delivery of your order.
How can I check on my order history?
Once you’ve placed an order, a user account will be created for you, with details sent to you via e-mail. You may log in anytime to check your account. Once logged in, click on the “My Account” link in the left-hand sidebar, and you will have the option of viewing your order history.
May I pay by credit card? What about other forms of payment?
We welcome you to pay by credit card. You may also pay by check, but please note that checks may be held for up to 15 business days before your order is processed.
Will more interRAI publications be available in the future?
Yes! We are actively working to expand our online offerings and will have new titles available soon.
What is the difference between the MDS tools and the current interRAI Suite of instruments?
With the new suite we improved the instruments in several ways:
- removed items that did not work well in practice
- added new items that had been identified as important
- made all items consistent across the interRAI Suite, although not every item is on every instrument
- expedited information transfer between sectors with a common data structure
- improved the care planning process through better Client Assessment Protocols that now trigger less frequently and only on those issues for which planning has the possibility of improving the person's status.
How does the "Search" work?
Currently, the search engine only indexes whole words in the Publications catalog. Wildcard searching is not available at this time. Full-text searching is not available yet either, but will be coming soon. Optionally, you may search within a sample interRAI publication using Adobe's Acrobat search tools within a sample PDF file.
What is the default currency for interRAI’s publications?
Our default currency is U.S. dollars.
I thought I removed an item from my shopping cart, but it didn’t go anywhere. What happened?
When viewing your cart, you can check a box next to an item to remove the item. This change won’t take effect until you click “update cart” or “checkout."
What happens if I have a question and need to contact customer support?
Where can I purchase interRAI ebooks?
interRAI ebooks are available at the interRAI ebookstore. At this site, you can browse, purchase, and download interRAI ebooks to a single computer. Purchased ebooks can also be downloaded to the iPad. Learn more about interRAI’s DRM policy here. For more information go to our ebook FAQ.
Please note: The interRAI ebookstore is separate from the interRAI Print Catalog site. Customer registration information is not shared between the two sites; purchasing ebooks will require you to create a separate account at the interRAI ebookstore.
